One of the most uninviting places to see has to be a Doctor's office. First, we normally visit because we have a pain or suffer from some ailment which does not put us from the best of moods to start with, but to add insult to injury, you must contend with the peculiarities from the doctor's office staff, an incredibly cold group of workers who will be more concerned with processing you like an order as opposed to treating you want a human-being. On your first trip to a doctor's office, you happen to be bombarded with a substantial level of paperwork in triplicate, that i guess we have to thank our lawyer friends for. I visited a fresh doctor recently and it was overwhelmed by the paperwork. There was more waivers of rights than there was anything pertaining to my health background. I felt like I had been more in an attorney's office than a doctor's. - Santa Clarita Doctors Office

The decor of doctors' offices are simply the same which is pretty plain, with outdated or irrelevant magazines you just read, and a whiff of isopropyl alcohol up. I find patients from the waiting room usually keep to themselves and never like to engage in conversation, maybe because they are embarrassed by their ailment or maybe because they only speak an international language. When you make an effort to strike up a conversation with someone, they are at you like they are being interrogated from the FBI or border patrol. About the walls of the office would be the doctor's degrees and certificates which are intended to impress you. Some doctors have a tendency to overdue it though because they frame everything from their degree to their safety patrol or bar mitzvah certificates.

I reckon that what irritates me the most though is making a meeting with a doctor that he or she rarely keeps. If I've got an appointment, medical or otherwise not, I tend to arrive a few minutes early as I don't especially like to be late. But doctors' really don't care about your time, even though you take time off from try to visit them. I've got a real problem with this as I wouldn't treat my customers by doing this. If the doctor is late, my impatience slowly brews until I can not take it anymore and storm out of the office (I've done this on many occasion), and frankly, I wish more people would do this. The office staff then efforts to threaten you that they may still bill you to the appointment, which is actually a veiled threat. I just point out the time for many years, and threaten to bill them for my lost time. I just can't understand why after practicing medicine for therefore long, they can't create a simple schedule and make it. Everybody else does. To me, its a sign of disrespect. - Santa Clarita Doctors Office
